Story Slam "Bonus Reel"
Editing these things is always tough, and there were three stories in particular that we also wanted to share with you. So stream or download the Story Slam bonus reel featuring Dave Good, George A. Keller, and Robert Fischer. (We'll podcast this in a few days.)
New Pilots: "The Week" from In The Loop
We've been experimenting with a new 22-minute "week in perspective" show (kind of an interim project while we continue working to fund a new season of In The Loop). So far, these have only been available to podcast listeners. If you'd like to listen to what we've been up to, check out these MP3s.
"The Week" from ITL for April 25, 2008 We talk with a member of Zimbabwe's opposition party and the "polygamy" beat reporter from the Salt Lake Tribune; and Sanden helps us get to know the leaders of Canada and Mexico (quick, can you name them?)
"The Week" from ITL for April 11, 2008 Four Iraq vets sharing a house in Wisconsin give us their take on the week in Iraq; a prescient North Carolina stockbroker talks about the next shoe to drop in the economy; the Presidential candidates leave us their economic personal ads; and an Olympic-hopeful kayaker explains why politics and sport ought to mix. (We've since given up the notion, but we called this first one "Under_Score")

ITL Show Status Update (4/14/08)
In The Loop - as an hour-long show, at least - remains on hiatus. We are exploring the prospects for staffing and funding a new weekly season -- no breakthroughs to report so far. In the meantime, our core staff (Jeff and Sanden) are continuing to bring ITL-related material to the airwaves and the web. The latest project is a new half-hour, Friday evening program that wraps up and adds perspective to the week's news with ITL's special style. Think of it as...an alternate, interim version of the show while we work on getting the big three-ring circus that is In The Loop-proper back up and running.
