Non-resident vs. resident tax structures

If cabin owners are taxed by school districts are their children allow to go to those schools? No. If I'm to be taxed for local services, I should be allowed to use them. I favor the proposal, but I also should be allowed to vote on the issue. [MPR News: Fight over cabin property tax money back on at Capitol]

Young people do read

I challenge the idea that young people don't read. In a lot of introductions to topics like this, someone will throw out the notion that young people don't read. A friend of mine who works on generational issues sent this information:

But in January the NEA published an update to their report title "Reading on the Rise" (see here: http://www.nea.gov/research/ReadingonRise.pdf) that shows that the 18-24 group (along with almost every other category) are showing a dramatic increase in reading rates. In fact, the 18-24 group (Millennials) has the second highest literary reading rate (51.7%) only surpassed by the 55-64 Boomers (53.1%).

There are cancer treatment alternatives

I fully support what this family is doing to heal their son. [MPR News: Family lands in court over son's cancer treatment] This family is trying to do what they feel is right for their child and trying to defend themselves using any legal argument they can. Big medicine, big pharmaceutical companies, and big government has everyone else brainwashed to believe that the allopathic way and model of current times is the only way.

Four years ago, I watched my father-in-law die from chemo and radiation. I spent a lot of time on the Internet researching alternative cancer treatments. And I am glad I did. I myself was diagnosed with breast cancer almost two years ago and I am undergoing an alternative natural treatment based on nutrition, a diet of organic and unprocessed foods and an herbal tonic called Hoxsey. I go to Tijuana, Mexico every six months for the Hoxsey tonic. Harry Hoxsey was in the U.S. for many years treating thousands of cancer patients with an almost 80% success rate. He, at one time had the largest cancer c linic in the U.S. in Houston Texas. Like many others, he was run out of the country by the AMA and the FDA. I am an employee of a major medical establishment in Southeast Minnesota and they were not very happy with me when I refused chemo and radiation and said I was going to go to Mexico. The good news is, I am cancer free and feel the greatest I have in my life!
