Renters mired in mortgage woes, too

I have been hearing a lot about all the help for owners but little about the help there is for the renters. [MPR News: Foreclosures push rents higher, squeezing low income families]

I have been renting a house for five years now and our landlord went into foreclosure. I had tried to find out what help there is out there and there is help to get monies for a damage deposit. The problem is for some is that we have pets that would not be accepted and being able to afford the new rent would be impossible, especially when no one seems to want to hire you. We have less than a week before the inspectors and does an apraisal and the morgage company wants us out. I'm sure we are not the only family in this type of situation facing being homeless. If it were summer we would pitch a tent, but with winter even the homeless shelters will fill up quick and our family will be seperated and displaced. With a child who has seperation anxiety that spells disater.

The only reason that I'm writing this is I feel that people like me who have no job but trying desperately to get one, and who are facing being homeless have been overlooked by many programs both at the state and federal level.

Mainstream media just accepts political talking points

Why is mainstream media taking talking points from the Democrat Party? It would be interesting if we had an objective media that would pursue both candidates equally. After all, deciding who to elect for President of the United States is a pretty important decision.

If I were an objective reporter, I would investigate the history of the two candidates to see what types of experience they have built up. I would also look at current events of today to see if there are any correlations such as ACORN's involvement and attempts, possibly successful, in stealing the election for Obama. I would also look at the $800,000 contribution to a front group for ACORN by Obama and his campaign. As an objective reporter, I would also look into Obama's campaign sending talking points about the last presidential debate many hours before the debate occurred. I would also look at the similarities to what mainstream media said and what the Obama campaign talking points said.

But that would be if I was an objective reporter.
