Can Universal Healthcare Work? A Conference and Town Hall Forum
(Postponed)
The UBS Forum, Minnesota Public Radio
The United States is the only industrialized nation that does not provide healthcare as a right of citizenship. The U.S. is also home to the most advanced medical facilities and best-trained medical professionals in the world. If you have access to healthcare in America, the care you receive is the best in the world; the problem is that too many American's do not have access to even basic medical care. For the population under age 65, 19 percent of Americans (48 million people) are estimated to be without health insurance.
The UBS Forum will host a conference of leading researchers, political leaders, and healthcare professionals to tackle the challenge of universal healthcare. The afternoon conference will be followed by a town hall forum where the public will be invited to participate in the discussion with conference participants.
This event is free, but registration is required.
