- Meet Class Notes Artist: Concordia Wind Quintet
The members of the Concordia Wind Quintet are all on the music faculty at Concordia College, Moorhead, but their favorite thing to do together is to go to elementary schools and play for kids. Their program teaches students about the different facets of the five instruments in the quintet using demonstrations as well as a healthy dose of humor.January 3, 2018

The members of the female vocal ensemble Lumina completed a tour of 11 schools in southwest Minnesota over a week in late October. From Montevideo to Worthington to Blue Earth, they introduced almost 2000 students to folk songs in seven languages.December 27, 2017

Many members of Afoutayi Dance, Music and Arts Company originally hail from Haiti, but the company has been based in the Twin Cities for a few years. They brought their colorful, energetic music and dance to schools in the Twin Cities for a week in October.November 20, 2017

Recital on April 29
Classical MPR Artist-in-Residence Chad Hoopes presents a recital at the Lakeville Area Arts Center on Sunday, April 29, at 7 p.m.

Chad Hoopes in Concert
After a successful two-week residency touring the state of Minnesota with host Steve Staruch, Chad Hoopes presents a final recital, joined by his accompanist Dina Vainshtein. Hoopes will perform at Sundin Music Hall, on the campus of Hamline University on Thursday, May 24, 2012, at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 for MPR members and $12 for the general public, and can be purchased by calling the MPR box office at 651-290-1200.
