Track Results with Us on Election Night

  • Live Video from a Special "Election Night Policy and a Pint" Event
    Starting at 7:30 p.m.

    Tom Crann from MPR's All Things Considered and Steve Seel from The Current join with bloggers, pundits, campaigners and citizens from around the community to check in on the election returns, challenge one another to election trivia, enjoy live entertainment and talk about the impact of the election and Minnesota's political scene. Jointly sponsored by MPR News, 89.3 The Current and the Citizens League.
  • Election Returns Live Online
    Starting soon after the polls close at 8 p.m. November 7 you'll see results reported live from the Secretary of State's office. Interactive maps and listings of returns down to the county level will help pinpoint how Minnesota is voting this year.
  • Gary Eichten Hosts Broadcast Election Coverage
    Programming continues throughout the evening of election day on all MPR News & Information stations. MPR's political reporters will be setting the scene from the campaign headquarters of candidates for major offices and NPR coverage will keep listeners abreast of results from around the country.

    If you've got your own blog or Web site, you're encouraged to pull in live Minnesota results via our new JavaScript module, available for free. You can choose which races you want to include and customize the look and feel.

    By answering a series of questions about major issues, you can quickly learn which candidates are most closely aligned with your views. You'll be able to learn more about each candidate, hear his/her positions on many issues and find out how your results compare with those of others who take the survey.

    Released just in time for this year's election, our newest aid to voting is a compendium of all the races for the Minnesota state house and senate. You'll find maps of the state districts and links to information about incumbents and challengers.

Keep up with the Campaigns

  • Gubernatorial and U.S. Senatorial Debates November 5
    7–9 p.m.

    MPR's Fitzgerald Theater is the scene as candidates for governor and U.S. Senator square off in the final debates of the campaign season. The debates will be broadcast live 7-9 p.m. Sunday and rebroadcast Monday, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on MPR News & Information stations. Audio will be archived online.
