Artistic Statement

I have been composing for a few years, but I only started writing sheet music until recently. Everything that I have composed in the past has been for piano, but now that I know about this contest and other contests, it has given me a reason to expand my compositions to more than just piano pieces. My main goal as a composer is to study music composition as my major when I go to college next year. I am going to enter in a lot of contests this year because writing music is something that I have always really enjoyed doing.
