The Republican Party of Minnesota took the governor's race to the state Supreme Court on Wednesday, seeking to shrink the ballot pool in the undecided governor's race before a recount begins after Thanksgiving.
Hennepin County Elections Manager Rachel Smith said the county has finished its post-election review and Democrat Mark Dayton picked up five votes on Republican Tom Emmer.
Republican Tom Emmer says he hasn't made a decision about whether he'll file a legal challenge, if he can't find enough votes to overcome Democrat Mark Dayton in the race for governor. Dayton is confident he will be delcared the winner, and discouraged those involved from dragging out the process.
