The board of Independent School District No. 2687 (Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted Schools) has proposed to renew the school district's existing referendum revenue authorization of $500 per pupil which is scheduled to expire after taxes payable in 2010. The proposed new referendum revenue authorization would be applicable for ten years, beginning with taxes payable in 2011, unless otherwise revoked or reduced as provided by law. Shall the increase in the revenue proposed by the board of Independent School District No. 2687 be approved? BY VOTING "YES" ON THIS BALLOT QUESTION, YOU ARE VOTING TO EXTEND AN EXISTING PROPERTY TAX REFERENDUM THAT IS SCHEDULED TO EXPIRE.

In School District Ballot Question 1, the board of Independent School District No. 2687 (Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted Schools) has proposed to renew the school district's existing referendum revenue authorization of $500 per pupil for ten years, beginning with taxes payable in 2011. If School District Ballot Question 1 is approved, shall the referendum revenue authorization renewed in that question be increased each year by the rate of inflation? BY VOTING "YES" ON THIS BALLOT QUESTION, YOU ARE VOTING FOR A PROPERTY TAX INCREASE.

The board of Independent School District No. 2687 (Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted Schools) has also proposed to revoke the school district's existing referendum revenue authorization of $50 per pupil and to replace that authorization with a new authorization of $150 per pupil. This proposed referendum revenue authorization would be applicable for five years, beginning with taxes payable in 2010, unless otherwise revoked or reduced as provided by law. Shall the school district's existing referendum revenue authorization be revoked and the increase in the revenue proposed by the board of Independent School District No. 2687 be approved? BY VOTING "YES" ON THIS BALLOT QUESTION, YOU ARE VOTING FOR A PROPERTY TAX INCREASE.
