City of Duluth: City Question 2
|
The Duluth City Charter currently requires a city employee to take a leave of absense from city employment in order to run for any political office (except for a position on the board of education for the city of Duluth). Should the Carter be amended to required any permanent, full-time city employee to take a leave of absence from city employment only when running for the office of Mayor of the city of Duluth or city councilor for the city of Duluth but not for any other political office. A "YES" vote changes the current Charter language to require a city employee to take a leve of absence from city employment in order to run for the office of mayor of the city of Duluth but not for any other political office. A "NO" vote retains the current Charter language which requires a city employee to take a leave of absence from city emplyment in order to run for any political office except for a position on the board of education of the city of Duluth. |
