Westbrook-Walnut Grove Schools: School District Question 1
The Board of Independent School District #2898 (Westbrook Walnut Grove), has proposed to increase it's general education revenue authority to $700 per pupil. The additional $200 per pupil revenue will be used to finance school operations. The proposed 2010 property tax portion thereof will require an estimated tax rate of approximately 0.14140% of the referendum market value of the school district for taxes payable in 2010. The proposed referendum revenue authorization would be applicable for ten years unless otherwise revoked or reduced as provided by law. If this $700 proposed authority is passed, the pre-existing $500 will automatically be revoked. If the $700 proposed authority is not approved, the already existing $500 authority will remain in effect. Shall the School District #2898 referendum revenue increase be approved?
