Marjorie Anderson, first woman to lead Mille Lacs band, dies at 81 The Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe said former Chief Executive Marjorie Anderson died on Saturday. Anderson was the first woman leader of the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe in east central Minnesota, serving from 1991 to 2000.
