    The park on Minnesota's northern border will phase in the system staring April 1. Officials have chosen 34 sites that will be marked with "reservation only" signs for the first year and will expand the program for 2015.March 5, 2014
  • Wis. bill would exempt e-cigarettes from ban
    The measure would effectively allow e-cigarette users to smoke where traditional smoking is banned. Wisconsin's statewide indoor smoking ban took effect in 2010. Grothman's bill would exempt the devices, which smokers use to inhale nicotine-laced vapors, from the law.March 5, 2014
  • Hear the Dalai Lama at 2014 Nobel Peace Prize Forum
    Hear His Holiness the Dalai Lama's keynote address at the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize Forum in Minneapolis. He spoke on "Faith and Peace Day" March 1st. The Dalai Lama said we are all the same human beings, all 7 billion of us, and there is too much emphasis on our differences. The concept of "we" and "they" creates most of our major problems. The Dalai Lama said there is too much lying, cheating, bullying and killing in the world... when we all want the same right to achieve a happy life. Following his address, the Dalai Lama answered questions from the audience, moderated by MPR's Cathy Wurzer. The event is sponsored by Augsburg College and the University of Minnesota Humphrey School. The Dalai Lama spoke at the Minneapolis Convention Center.
