Listen:

Policy and a Pint
On July 14 join host Steve Seel as he talks with Dr. Michael Osterholm, director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy at the U of M, about how our national security is not just a question of which country harbors our enemies, but also of how well we protect public health and our food supply.

Doors are at 5:30 p.m.; the program starts at 6 p.m. Tickets are $10 ($5 for students with valid ID).

The Local Show
What are your favorite local albums and songs so far this year? Tune in this Sunday to The Local Show to hear David Campbell's mid-year review with The Star Tribune's Music Columnist, Chris Riemenschneider.

The Current
Host Mark Wheat asks the question on The Current Music Blog: "What's your favorite album of the year (so far)?" The hosts are weighing in, and now is your chance to let us know.

eels
The title of Wilco's latest, "Wilco (The Album)" suggests a playful, tongue-in-cheek effort. Is that what Jeff Tweedy and company have served up this time?

The cast weighs in, and they also review the latest from Eels, a concept album about werewolves called "Hombre Lobo," and the debut full-length from Passion Pit, "Manners."

Finally, Host Bill DeVille poses the question, "If you could bring a great deceased artist back from the afterlife for one final gig, who would it be, and why?" and you and my guests Barb Abney and Mac Wilson answer.
