About the Program

These four programs celebrate the best of the best from the Music@Menlo festival in Menlo, California, under the direction of David Finckel and Wu Han. Host Brian Newhouse takes us on a journey to some of the world's great musical locales. In Program One, music from Italy (Albinoni, Platti, Puccini, Vivaldi). Program Two, music from France (Debussy, Poulenc, Faurè). Program Three, music from Eastern Europe (Smetana, Dvor·k). Program Four, music from Russia (Rachmaninov, Tchaikovsky).
