  • Report on violence against women
    An exhaustive government survey of rape and domestic violence released on last week affirmed that sexual violence against women in the United States may be far more common than previously thought. We discuss the results of the survey and talk about preventing violence against women.9:06 a.m.

    Roberta Gibbons: assistant professor in the Department of Human Services at Metropolitan State University. She was formerly associate director of the Aurora Center for Advocacy and Education at the University of Minnesota. The center provides free and confidential crisis intervention to victims of sexual assault. She joins us in studio.
  • Trends in teen drug use
    A new survey from the National Institutes of Health reports that while smoking and drinking by teens is at a record-low, use of natural and synthetic marijuana is on the rise.9:45 a.m.
