    A new report from the FCC recommends Congress enact legislation that would give the government power to regulate violence on television.9:00 a.m.

  • The future of the American high school
    Politicians and public officials are calling for high schools to undergo a major overhaul, saying they're not doing enough to prepare students for the world of work. Parents, students and educators responded to those concerns in a Public Insight Forum hosted by Midmorning host Kerri Miller.10:00 a.m.
    Randall Fielding: Principal of the design firm Fielding Nair International. He's also the editor of DesignShare, an online journal.
    Chris Stewart: Member of the Minneapolis Board of Education. He's also a workforce consultant with the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development.
    Micheal Thompson: Director of secondary curriculum, St. Paul Public Schools. He has worked on the St. Paul district's reform proposal. He also was involved in opening Arlington High School.
