What would you do to shape America's energy policy?

Support government mandates for utility companies to get a greater amount of their power from renewable sources and focus on bringing clean energy jobs to Minnesota.
Oppose cap and trade. Support comprehensive policy of clean energy, wind, solar and the use of nuclear energy, advocate for electric and hybrid vehicles and conservation to lessen our dependence on oil.
Congress must open up domestic supplies of energy to exploration if we are to reduce pain at the pump and lead our nation to real energy independence. Also, continue exploring alternative energy options and oppose cap and trade.

What types of reform should be made in the health care sector?

Require all to have catastrophic insurance, offer government-funded subsidies to low-income citizens and those who's coverage is not partially-funded through their employer.
Repeal the recently-passed federal health care law. Provide full tax deductibility for individual health expenses, including medical care, dental care, long-term care and insurance premiums.
Focus on healthy outcomes instead of quantity of procedures, ending discrimination based on pre-existing conditions, ensuring quality care for all children, investment in health care research and innovation, and ensuring high-quality, low-cost care for seniors.

How would you reform the education system?

Return control over education to parents and local educators.
Repeal or seriously reform No Child Left Behind, stabilize funding, reduce federal mandates and allow more local control.
Have 10 years of the basics with emphasis on reading, writing, mathematics and science. The final 2 years would be preparation for college or trade school. Give parents a choice as to where their tax dollars go for education. Use more volunteers in schools to ensure all students are reading at their grad level.

Support the new Arizona law that would require local law enforcement to check the immigration status of anyone suspected of being in the country illegally.
Enforce the laws we already have in place for illegal immigration.
