The Minnesota Judicial Branch has created a video to make sure citizens who are deaf or hard-of-hearing have equal access in the state court system.
The video called "Going to Court: Tips for Minnesotans who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing," is a 20-minute piece that helps those who are deaf or hard-of-hearing prepare for a court appearance, and request communication assistance if needed.
The video is in American Sign Language and has captions.
The Judicial Branch says courts can be confusing for people unfamiliar with legal rules, and can be especially intimidating for people with specific communication needs.
The video is posted on the Judicial Branch website here.
