B. Todd Jones confirmation hearing delayed
A scheduled nomination hearing for Minnesota's U.S. Attorney, B. Todd Jones, to be head of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms has been postponed.
President Barack Obama chose Jones for the post in January but his nomination has languished for months.
A Senate hearing was scheduled for today, but it has been postponed for a week at the request of Iowa Sen. Charles Grassley, who's the top Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Grassley says neither Jones nor the Obama administration has provided the committee with documents about various ATF operations that he's seeking.
Jones already serves as the acting head of the ATF while also continuing to run the Minnnesota U.S. Attorney's office.
