Neighbors and property records identify the two dead as Nancy Sullivan and John Simpson.

Gustafson said there is no threat to the neighborhood at this time.

The Ramsey County Sheriff's Office also recovered a handgun at the scene of the shooting.

Police are still investigating the relationship between Simpson and Sullivan. Police say they believe that someone was moving out when the shooting happened. Moving workers were taken to the station for assistance in the investigation.

Kfir Batiller, 19, lives next door to the house where the shooting occurred. He said he knew the couple who lived there, who he described as having adult children. He said they invited him over to swim in their backyard pool and seemed very normal. "They always spent time with each other," he said.
