A look at the Obama administration's drone program

9:06 AM, February 20, 2013

LISTEN

America's drone policy has come under increased scrutiny after an internal policy document leaked earlier this month shows the Obama administration's legal justification for targeted killings of Americans suspected to be in al-Qaeda.

Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle have come out and called for more oversight of the US drone program. The White House press secretary said the Obama administration's drone program is "legal," "ethical," and "wise."

John Radsan, founder and director of the National Security Forum and professor at William Mitchell College of Law, will join The Daily Circuit Wednesday, Feb. 20 to debate these points. Omar Shakir, member of the International Human Rights and Conflict Resolution Clinic at Stanford Law School, and co-author of the report "Living Under Drones," will also join the discussion.
