by Tom Crann, Minnesota Public RadioJanuary 24, 2013
ST. PAUL, Minn. — Somalis began to leave their country as refugees to escape war and violence starting in the early 1990s. In the last two decades, tens of thousands have made Minnesota their home.
The new book "Somalis in Minnesota" takes a look at how some of our newest neighbors are settling, and the ways they're contributing to their new home.
The book's author, Ahmed Ismail Yusef, a Somali himself, joined MPR's Tom Crann on All Things Considered.
