Ex-Faribault teacher faces sex charges

ST. PAUL, Minn. — A former teacher at a private school in Faribault faces more than a dozen charges of criminal sexual conduct.

The Rice County Attorney filed charges Monday against Lynn Phillip Seibel, who taught at Shattuck-St. Mary's School in Faribault until 2003.

In June a former student of the school reported being sexually assaulted by Seibel in 2001. During the investigation, four other students described similar incidents occurring between 2001 and 2003.

A resume on Seibel's website says he's appeared in nearly 60 television and movie roles.

Seibel is currently jailed in Los Angeles on charges unrelated to the Minnesota investigation.
