"Popular Science" magazine has named University of Minnesota chemist Christy Haynes to its "Brilliant 10" list.
The "Brilliant 10" recognizes young scientists whose research is expected to dramatically impact their fields. Haynes' is featured in the magazine's current issue.
Haynes is an associate professor of chemistry in the university's College of Science and Engineering. She is part of a research group that studies blood platelets, and a founder of the university's Center for Analysis of Biomolecular Signalling.
