Author Hilary Mantel is out with her latest novel, "Bring Up the Bodies." The novel is a sequel to "Wolf Hall," a historical novel about Henry VIII. She won the Man Booker Prize for that novel in 2009.

We'll air our interview with Mantel on The Daily Circuit. The book was Kerri's Pick of the Week on June 12.

"What I couldn't know was that I would be so rewarded by finding so many readers, that the reception of the books would be so warm," Mantel said during her conversation with The Daily Circuit. "I really never expected this to happen because I've been a writer hard to classify...and I haven't got a settled following or a settled group of readers in the way some authors have. The critics have always been kind to me but I've never had big sales figures. And you begin to think who is my public, who am I writing for, are there people out there at all? And then suddenly you find they are and that gives you such an injection of self-confidence and just pure happiness and glee, really. Although these books are the hardest work I've ever done, they're also the most rewarding work."
