Tanya Luhrmann on "When God Talks Back"

Stanford anthropologist Tanya Luhrmann was intrigued by recent polls showing that more Americans are experiencing a personal relationship with God. Her new book, "When God Talks Back: Understanding the American Evangelical Relationship with God," examines what that relationship looks like, and how her own way of looking at God changed.

Given how much coverage the evangelical community gets, especially during a presidential election year, we thought this would be a good conversation to have during our week on faith and public life. Luhrmann joined The Daily Circuit to discuss her book.
