When writer and cultural commentator Eric Metaxas spoke at this year's Presidential Prayer Breakfast, he decried "phony religion" and spoke out against abortion. He's the author of New York Times bestseller "Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Spy" and will be speaking Friday at St. Phillip the Deacon Lutheran Church in Plymouth.
He joins The Daily Circuit Friday to discuss his views on faith, politics and what it means to live like a true Christian.
The Daily Circuit will devote the week of May 7 to a series of discussions of faith and public life. We'll have a number of in-depth segments with clergy of different denominations and authors with different perspectives and theories about religion. As we lead up to that week of conversations, we hope Metaxas can bring to light some ideas around faith that aren't examined enough in the media.
Metaxas will speak Friday, April 20, at 7:00 p.m. at St. Philip the Deacon Lutheran Church, 17205 County Road Six, Plymouth.
