'Controversial topics' policies in Minn. school districts compared

St. Paul, Minn. — The Anoka-Hennepin School District, Minnesota's largest, on Monday will consider adopting a new controversial topics curriculum policy. Many other schools have similar policies, though each is worded slightly differently. Below is a sampling of existing controversial topics policies in the largest Minnesota school districts.

Minneapolis Public Schools, first adopted in 1967

St. Paul Public Schools, first adopted in 1975

Wayzata Public Schools, first adopted in 2005

Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan School District, first adopted in 1993
