Broadcast: Midmorning, 11/04/2011, 10:06 a.m.
As technology continues to develop, comic books are slowly being transformed. We discuss how media is changing comic books and the ways that comics can be used in academia.
- Karen Green: curator of Columbia University Libraries' comics and graphic novels collection. She works with Columbia faculty in a wide range of disciplines to facilitate the use of comics in their courses.
- Scott McCloud: cartoonist and theorist on comics as a distinct literary and artistic medium. His book, Understanding Comics, a 215-page comic book about the comics medium, has been translated into over 16 languages.
