On the 130th anniversary of his death, a best-selling author tells the story of President James Garfield. He was born into poverty and rose to become President. Four months after his inauguration, a deranged office seeker tracked Garfield down and shot him in the back. Candice Millard joins us to discuss her new novel, Destiny of the Republic.
