The Minnesota Lynx will publicly celebrate their WNBA championship victory Tuesday in downtown Minneapolis.
The celebration begins with a parade along Nicollet Avenue and Seventh Street. Then the players and coaching staff will be honored with a program at the Target Center.
And they expect their fans to turn out in a big crowd, said Lynx spokesman Aaron Seehusen said.
"If it's anything like the support we've gotten over the past couple of days; from the airport, where we had approximately 500 to a thousand fans welcome us home on Saturday, we expect a pretty good turnout," Seehusen said.

The Lynx swept the Atlanta Dream in three games, bringing Minnesota its first professional sports championship in 20 years, since the Twins won the World Series in 1991.
With the WNBA season is over, many players will be back on the court soon in European leagues.
"A few of our players are taking a week here or a week there off, and then they'll head overseas," Seehusen said. "Lindsay Whalen is actually going to take three or four weeks off to rest up, and then head over to the Czech Republic."
The parade begins at 11:30 a.m. at Nicollet and 12th St, then heads north on Nicollet to 7th St., and ends at the Target Center. The program at the Target Center begins at 12:15 p.m. and will include team owner Glen Taylor and Gov. Mark Dayton.
