The owner lockout, which threatened to cancel the season, poses a number of challenges for the team. The abbreviated preseason prevented teams from making trades and prevented players from attending team-sponsored workouts.
Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier is confident that won't be a big problem for the team. He also hopes the lockout and threat of a canceled season doesn't hurt fan attendance at the team's training camp in Mankato.
"You know we have fans everywhere. My only concern would be if some of those fans that were planning for training camp — with the uncertainty — would that inhibit their getting here," Frazier said. "I'm hoping that all of our fans that want to get to training camp will be able to get to training camp."
Frazier has spoken with several players, including running back Adrian Peterson, who is excited to get started.
