The nearly mailed Minnesota puppy named Guess is about to find out who his new owner will be.

Animal shelter officials in Minneapolis expect a crowd Friday afternoon and have set up a drawing for Guess, a schnauzer-poodle mix. They plan to take names of adoptive owners and screen them for suitability as part of the process.

Guess became a celebrity when his owner put him in a sealed box and tried to mail him to Georgia. Postal officials intervened, and the puppy was taken from the owner.
