This week's edition of Dinner Party Download features a conversation with Diplo -- whose name sounds more like a global brand than a DJ -- and that's fitting.

In the past 10 years, the man behind the moniker has evolved from a crowd pleasing party-thrower to a sought-after music producer. To the uninitiated, he's best known as the guy who produced M.I.A.'s hit "Paper Planes." But in club culture he's a musical ambassador, famous for shining a light on obscure subgenres like Balifunk and Ragga.

Diplo talks to Brendan about his influences and his new compilation of Dubstep tracks.

To listen to an extended version of the program, go to dinnerpartydownload.org. It includes Rico's visit to the most vegan-friendly college in America, a track from Cleveland Ohio's Cloud Nothing, and more from Diplo.
