Tucker the Turtle needs lift back to Kentucky

If anyone from the Twin Cities is heading to Kentucky, Tucker the Turtle needs a lift home.

A trucker thought Tucker was injured, so he drove the turtle with him from Kentucky to Minnesota.

The Animal Humane Society in Golden Valley says Tucker's shell was fractured, but it was an old fracture and Tucker was OK.

Trouble is, Tucker is an Eastern box turtle, not native to Minnesota. The Humane Society says Tucker would not survive a Minnesota winter, so he needs to return to Kentucky as soon as possible.

Because of flight restrictions on reptiles, the Humane Society is looking for someone to drive Tucker to the Broadbent Wildlife Sanctuary in Irvington, Ky. The center will check Tucker out, then release him into the wild.
