The Minnesota chapter of the National Organization for Women has endorsed Democrat Matt Entenza for governor over a female opponent, House Speaker Margaret Anderson Kelliher.
Minnesota NOW President Shannon Drury says Entenza is a great champion of women's rights. Drury says she was also greatly impressed after a meeting with Entenza's running mate, former KMSP-TV anchorwoman Robyne Robinson.
Entenza is a former House minority leader from St. Paul. He faces off in the August 10 primary against Kelliher, the endorsed DFL candidate, and former U.S. Sen. Mark Dayton.
