A DFL panel has upheld a decision to revoke state Sen. Satveer Chaudhary's party endorsement.
The Fridley Democrat was stripped of the endorsement late last month after a flap surrounding his end-of-session efforts to pass new fishing rules for a Minnesota lake where he owns a cabin.
Chaudhary's attorney, Brian Rice, said the senator is disappointed in the ruling but doesn't plan to take further action.
"It just time at this point to move on with the election to talk about health care, education and balancing the budget and so in light of that the senator and the committee has decided not to appeal the decision and it's just time for the voters to decide in the august 10 primary," Rice said.
Party leaders in Chaudhary's district have endorsed former state Rep. Barb Goodwin for Chaudhary's senate seat.
