After over 30 years of making music, Minneapolis-native Prince will receive BET's Lifetime Achievement Award on Sunday. Prince started recording in 1977 and went on to become one of the most influential rock musicians, boasting over 100 singles and releasing songs like Purple Rain, When Doves Cry and Kiss.
