A college professor who unsuccessfully challenged Congresswoman Michele Bachmann in the Republican primary two years ago says he'll try to run against her this year.
Aubrey Immelman of Sartell announced his plans for a second challenge Wednesday on his Web site.
He's an associate professor of psychology at St. John's University and the College of St. Benedict.
Immelman said he'll run on a platform of national security, law and order, fiscal responsibility, and uncompromising opposition to political extremism.
"I'm especially concerned about the revolution that's in the air. I do not think that is good for our country. I'm very, very concerned about the incivility," Immelman said.
Immelman has not yet decided if he'll run as a Republican or independent. His announcement comes the same day as Bachmann's high profile rally in Minneapolis with former Alaska governor Sarah Palin.
