A former Minneapolis SWAT team member already indicted in the takeover-style armed robbery of a suburban bank is facing more charges in Dakota County.

Dakota County prosecutors are charging 28-year-old Timothy Edward Carson of Rosemount in a string of robberies in the Apple Valley, Eagan and Rosemount areas from Dec. 16 through Jan. 5.

Hennepin County prosecutors have already charged him in five robberies.

An FBI affidavit filed in the June 6 robbery of a Wells Fargo bank in Apple Valley says Carson entered the bank wearing a mask, jumped on the counter and pointed a gun at three tellers. Carson is to be arraigned Thursday on the federal charges.

His lawyer, federal defender Andrea George, says having all the charges "on the table" will help bring closure for Carson's family.
