Every seven seconds another American turns 50. That's 12,500 people per day -- the heart of the Baby Boom generation -- passing this symbolic milestone.

There has never been a population explosion like the Baby Boom in American history. It's been an especially turbulent year for this "biggest generation" with retirement funds disappearing, and a health care system in flux. That means there's plenty to talk about on the Twin Cities-produced TV program "Life (Part 2)."

The show has frank -- and entertaining -- discussions about issues facing baby boomers. Celebrity guests and experts on aging give their take on issues like marriage, care giving, body image and -- of course -- aging gracefully.

New episodes began airing earlier this month on Twin Cities Public Television, which created the program. Its host is USA Today columnist, author, and Emmy-winning TV host Robert Lipsyte. He joined Tom Crann to talk about what viewers can expect can expect from the upcoming series.
