Two Fargo banks sue Denny Hecker
Fargo, N.D. (AP) — Bankrupt Minnesota businessman Denny Hecker's legal troubles now include lawsuits filed by two North Dakota banks seeking nearly $20 million.
Hecker hasn't been charged with a crime but reportedly owes $767 million to creditors, including Chrysler Financial and banks around the country.
According to court documents, Cornerstone Bank in Fargo reported a loss to Hecker of nearly $13 million that he obtained by "false financial statements." Cornerstone transferred the debt to Blackstone Financial.
Vision Bank in Fargo also filed a lawsuit seeking more than $7 million from Hecker.
