How the real estate bubble continues to shake up housing
St. Paul, Minn. — A new report from the Congressional Oversight Panel warns that toxic assets tied to bad loans remain on the balance sheets of many small banks, and could trigger further economic instability.
- Elizabeth Warren: Chair of the Congressional Oversight Panel and a professor of law at Harvard University.
- John McIlwain: Senior resident fellow at the Urban Land Institute. He is also chairman of the Center for Housing Policy. He formerly worked as senior managing director of the American Communities Fund for Fannie Mae, and was president and CEO of the Fannie Mae Foundation.
- Richard Green: Dean of University of Southern California's Lusk Center for Real Estate.
