Wolves and Lynx owner donates $7 million to MSU Mankato
by Art Hughes, Minnesota Public RadioSt. Paul, Minn. — Mankato businessman Glen Taylor and his wife Becky are donating $7 million to Minnesota State University Mankato. The money will establish an institute, a faculty position and a scholarship, all centered around nursing.
Glen Taylor is a graduate of Mankato State. He has a long history of philanthropy to his alma mater. His donations help construct the Taylor Center athletics facility and science labs. He's also established scholarships. Taylor is the majority owner of the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Lynx basketball teams.
