Survey finds Minnesotans worry income is not enough

A new survey finds nearly a third of Minnesotans polled are worried their family income will not be enough to pay their bills and expenses this year.
The Northwest Area Foundation Survey is based on interviews with 4,000 Americans, including some in Minnesota.
Foundation Vice President, Gary Cunningham, says 53 percent of Minnesotans polled say the economy is in "fair" or "poor" condition.
"One of the fascinating things about the poll, I think, is that overwhelmingly people say that it takes at least $40 thousand a year for a family of four to get by. That's twice the federal poverty threshold," Cunningham said.
Cunningham says many people surveyed say they are planning to go to the polls this fall, and vote for the presidential candidate who has the best economic plan.
