Conversation with Rep. John Kline about Iraq hearings

by Tom Crann, Minnesota Public Radio
April 10, 2008

St. Paul, Minn. — The top US leaders in Iraq were on Capitol Hill yesterday for a second day of testimony.

General David Petraeus and Ambassador Ryan Crocker testified before the House Armed Services Committee in the morning.

In his testimony, Petraeus said he is not inclined to seek another troop buildup in Iraq. Rather, he outlined his preference for reallocating troops to hot-spots as they flare up.

Minnesota's 2nd district congressman John Kline sits on the House Armed Services Committee. He is a Republican, and he was in the committee room yesterday, though time ran out before he could ask his questions.

This is a conversation with Minnesota's 2nd District congressman John Kline. He joined us to talk about the testimony General David Petraeus and Ambassador Ryan Crocker delivered to lawmakers this week regarding the Iraq War.
