Is Russia still America's friend?

George Bush once gazed into Russian President Vladimir Putin's eyes and got "a sense of his soul." Now Putin looks increasingly like Bush's adversary, meeting with Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad and strongly hinting he will try to hold onto power when his term in office ends.
