State Fair has just days to clean up wind damage

Even as storms approached the Twin Cities Monday evening, there was still a lot of clean-up left to do from storms over the weekend. Saturday's storms packed quite a punch with 70 to 80 mile per hour straight-line winds.

Over 7,500 Xcel Energy customers were still without power Monday evening.

Clean-up crews were busy at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds, where Saturday's storm knocked down trees, grandstand. The fair opens August 23.

All Things Considered host Tom Crann talked with State Fair police chief Art Blakey, who estimates the storm did $3 millions worth of damage to fair property.
