Doug Jones gets inside his characters
January 19, 2007
Doug Jones has two major roles in the new fantasy movie "Pan's Labyrinth," but you never see his face.
St. Paul, Minn. — Jones is known for his skill performing otherworldly creatures. He brings emotion and subtlety to a character, even as he's encased in a complicated full body costume.
"Pan's Labyrinth" opens at the Uptown Theater in Minneapolis tonight, and Jones will make an appearance.
Doug Jones told Minnesota Public Radio's Euan Kerr he first appears as Pan in the film. He approaches Ofilia, an 11 year old Spanish girl, and sends her on a dangerous and terrifying adventure.
